European retailers have dropped the prices of the Korg NTS-1 and Volca FM synthesizers by up to 24% for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.
I noticed two hidden deals while surfing. Both come from the Japanese manufacturer Korg.
For a limited time you can save 20% on the NTS-1 and 24% on the Volca FM synthesizers. You can’t expect the big deals with hardware synthesizers this year, especially in times of fewer units, chip shortages … But these are very solid discounts in my opinion. Especially the NTS-1 for 80€ is very tempting.
Korg NTS-1
The Korg NTS-1 is a small, super compact hardware Synthesizer that you assemble yourself. The special thing is its engine which is based on the open-source Logue SDK. The engine allows you to swap them completely in a very short time. From the oscillator to the three effect slots, everything can be changed.
In the same time, third party developers offer numerous new algorithms, free of charge or for a fee, for it. So you can create a very personalized Synthesizer. Also not to be overlooked is the stereo audio input, which turns the NTS-1 into a full-fledged hardware effects processor. It has three effect slots which can also be exchanged with other algorithms. Korg VolcaFM
The Volca FM, on the other hand, is much more classic. Here you get a DX-7 inspired FM Synthesizer in the compact Volca format with three voice polyphony and creative sequencing capabilities. For the volca FM you get almost endless sounds because it can read classic patches from the iconic Yamaha DX 7. And there are tons of them on the net available as a download.
Korg NTS-1 is available now for 79€ instead of 100€ and Korg Volca FM for 105 instead of 135€ during Black Friday.
