Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V
Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V is an authentic emulation of the legendary PPG Wave Synthesizer, initially developed by Wolfgang Palm in the 80s. It features up to 256 voices per instance, 8 part multitimbrality, and 8 stereo outputs. The plugin ships with all the original wavetables but also with more than 100 new wavetables created by Wolfgang Palm. PPG Wave 3.0 offers two wavetable oscillators, each with the option to either read wavetables or samples with 8 bit, 12 bit, or up to 32 bit.
The plugin not only gives you the same wavetables but also the same iconic sound engine for your DAW. Therefore, it has authentic aliasing emulations of the PPG Wave 2.2/2.3/2.V or without. Then, it has recreations of the analog lowpass filters of the PPG Wave 2.2/2.3 with 12dB/24dB onboard that gives you additional character for your sounds. This played a strong role in the original, as it was the analog contrast to the digital, cold wavetables. Also, many other features are recreations of the original unit.
Authentic Modulations
Overdrive behind the filter, 1 LFO, 3 envelopes, authentic emulation of the modulation graininess, or also the true PPG mode to name a few.
