Elektron has given the Digitakt sampler and Digitone FM Synthesizer creative OS updates (1.2 & 1.3) including an improved sequencer, class-compliant audio over USB & more.

Surprise surprise. Elektron has today released two major firmware updates for the Digitakt sampler and Digitone FM Synthesizer. Bot hardware devices now act as a class-compliant audio interface and stream audio over USB. Also new is a long-awaited step recording mode with which you can enter notes and chords step by step into the sequencer. Plus, it has a jump mode/function that offers predefined points in a sequence. With these, you can jump through a sequence and navigate through them quickly and easily.

Another big new feature in both devices is a triggering probability that can be added to a sequence. The update also adds a trig preview function with which you can check the individual triggers before the track has reached them. Also, it brings a new functionality to preview a single step (including its parameter locks) on the sequencer for both audio & MIDI tracks.
