Junkie XL released just before the weekend a new episode of Studio Time, a weekly show where he gives deep insights in his gear. This week, he demonstrate and explain how he incorporate different types of guitar effect pedals in film scores. Really interesting to see how you can create sounds with a guitar and some very lovely guitar pedals. I use them personally also very often but on synths because they give synths a new dimension of sound design and more sonic possibilities than just the pure synthesis.
This video gives you especially great ideas how you can combine pedals and how interesting they are. Often you don’t need new synths or guitar but just a guitar effect to add new timbres to your existing instrument. I recommend to check out this new video to get an idea how to work with pedals.
