Ivo Ivanov is known to many as the developer behind the Glitchmachines plugins and sample libraries. In addition to this activity, Ivo has bended the circuits of many cheap and affordable instruments and transformed them into unique instruments. One of these projects was the Casio SK-1 sampler which was best known as poor man’s sampler.

To get more out of this cheap instrument, Ivo Ivanov transformed this entire instrument in a unique circuit bending instrument. He added new features and installed several switches. This instrument was made for musicians like Justin-Meldal-Johnson (formerly NIN), Beck….)

Unfortunately, I can’t find any sound demos of this great circuit bending instrument. Nonetheless, I found an amazing demo from Hannes Pasqualini’s circuit bent Casio SK-1. You receive here an excellent overview what is possible if you circuit bend a SK-1 sampler.
