Native Instruments celebrates the holidays 2022 with Hypha, a free hybrid instrument for Kontakt Player, vouchers, and a giveaway.

We are speeding toward the end of the year at high speed. As soon as Black Friday is over, the Christmas holidays almost begin. At this time, music tech companies are very generous.

It is almost a tradition that Native Instruments gives away new plugins, Kontakt instruments, or vouchers to their customers for the holidays. Also, this year, they are giving away something free for a limited time.

This year’s giveaway is called Hypha, and it’s a new free virtual instrument for the Kontakt 7 Player. More precisely: it is a hybrid instrument melting acoustic and electronic elements in unique sounds. The library ships with 156 ready-to-use presets that are all inspired by nature.

It’s powered by the “Player Series” engine, which means the sounds can be customized in detail. The user interface has three pages, each with a good range of features to make the sounds your own. The main page offers controls over the tremolo effect, A/B sound source mixing, three parameters, play mode and chord settings, and direct access to the envelope.

Then, the FX page hosts a multi-effects engine with eight different effect processors, including EQ, tape, delay, chorus, phaser, cabinet, convolution reverb, and a limiter. The setting pages give you additional ways to set your sounds, including the active range of the instrument, tuning, transposing, and more. There is also a randomizer that allows you to create instant variations in the volume, velocity, pan, and pitch of the actual patch.

In the demo by Jeremy Red Means Recording, you can hear that the library has a very organic sound. Great for ambient or cinematic projects.

Vouchers, and Competitions

But that’s not all. Native Instruments is giving away vouchers again. Once €25 on the NI range using the code HOLIDAYGIFT2022_EUR (if you are in Europe) and a voucher with which you get 50% OFF on a selection of iZotope plugins. The code is JOLLY50.

With the last one, I would recommend checking the current deals because you often get even better discounts on iZotope plugins at retailers like Plugin Boutique.

Further, Native Instruments announced a meta pop New-Year’s competition. Simply create a new track using HYPHA  for a chance to win hardware and software prizes from NI, iZotope, and Plugin Alliance.

The new Native Instruments Hypha is available now as a free download for a limited time. It runs as a virtual instrument inside Kontakt 7 and the free Kontakt 7 Player. The vouchers and competition/giveaway are valid until January 16, 2023.
