Erica Synths has expanded its fascinating EDU DIY Eurorack series with a new noise/S&H module made for exploring randomness in detail.

Good news for all users of the new Erica Synths EDU DIY modules. With 6 out of 9 modules (VCO, VCF, dual VCA, dual envelope, mixer, and the case with the power supply), the system is ending. As a reminder, the system was developed in collaboration with the German YouTuber and musician Moritz Klein.

The new seventh module in the new Erica Synths EDU DIY series combines a noise and S&H generator. It will introduces wild random modulations to the existing system.

Noise/S&H

The new module consists of a noise generator and a sample & hold generator. Starting with the pretty flexible noise source. Erica Synths has expanded the classic white flavor with additional blue and pink noise colors. It can be used as classic noise generator or as a sampling source for the sample & hold circuit.

Circuit side, the module is based on a JFET-based implementation with an internal clock generator and dedicated slew input and output. With the right settings, you can also use create bit-crushing timbres or even melodies.

Another beautiful module from the new EDU DIY range. So only the wave folder and the stereo output modules are missing. And like all other modules, this kit also comes with all the components, PCB, and front panel and a lovely detail-rich manual. With it, you can not only build the module step by step but also take a look at the choice of components and the circuit.

Erica Synths EDU DIY Noise/S&H is available now as a DIY kit for 60€.
