Superbooth 22: AJH Synth unveils the MiniMod Multi Burst Envelopes module, a sequencing modulation source for Eurorack.
Every year, the biggest topic of the Superbooth is modular synthesis in the form of Eurorack. Also at Superbooth 22 next week, many module manufacturers will premiere new modules.
The British manufacturer AJH Synth is known for its excellent MiniMod modules which reproduce the circuits of the Moog Minimoog and expand the sound in the modular work. For Superbooth 22, he unveils a unique modulation generator.
AJH MiniMod Multi Burst Envelopes
The MiniMod Multi Burst Envelopes is a unique sequencing modulation module that combines aspects of classic envelopes and sequencing. It’s made for creating many different types of repeating envelopes. They can increase, decrease, or remain at a constant level over time.
The module has a wide range of controls. The Burst control selects a “burst sequencer” of between 1 and 40 individual envelopes. You can choose the envelope shape manually with the rotary switch or via a CV. So it’s possible to choose a different envelope shape for each individual burst in a sequence.
Then, you can shape the width of the envelope (attack/decay time) with the P-WIDTH control manually or with CV as a sequence is progressing. This allows you to vary the envelope speed of each individual envelope burst while a Burst sequence is running.
There is a built-in LFO with rate control that sets the repeat time of the individual bursts. The LFO rate can be varied using an external CV so you can speed up or slow down the gap between the envelopes. According to the motto mind the gap, hehe.
