Waves is teasing a new FREE surprise for February 15th for everyone who uses samples, could it be a sampler plugin or a sample cloud service?
Waves Audio almost traditionally gives away a free plugin for every Black Friday event. LoFi Space, for example, last year Usually this is a full-fledged plugin but with limited features. The full version is then available for purchase the day after. Good marketing but it’s a free plugin that many benefit from.
In a Facebook post, Waves is currently teasing another gift. Yes we are not Black Friday but in February. They say: “using samples? free new surprise 02.15.2022”. You can also sign up for this upcoming free gift, but we don’t know yet what it will be like.
Waves Sampler, Sample Libraries?
One thing is for sure: the new Waves product is about samples or made for music producers who work with samples. In my opinion there could only be two products:
Either a sampler plugin with interesting features. Like sample slicing, samples to pads, high-quality time stretch or possibly also granular synthesis. Or we see a sample subscription service. Waves has been offering its plugins not only for purchase but also for rent for some time.
They know the technology. Also have very large contacts in the producer scene. So they would have everything they could start something like that with. Or will it be an entire platform that combines a sampler plugin with a sample content cloud service.
