SYNTHMAS Giveaway #13: Baby Audio Spaced Out

There are many plugin manufacturers. One of the most innovative is the young company Baby Audio, which has released numerous plugins that not only sound great but also have feature sets that make them unique. Plus, they have interfaces that are simple and logical. For me these are enough reasons to partner up with Baby Audio for the SYNTHMAS #13.

Today you can win the Spaced Out plugin, which is Baby Audio’s modern take on the legendary Roland RE-201 Space Echo. And they give away not one, not two, but three licenses. So three happy participants can look forward to the plugin.

Spaced Out

Spaced Out combines a 16-step delay sequencer and a feature-rich reverb with a tons of modulation options. The echoes is fully featured and offers different modes, stereo image option, reverse function, built-in filter, as well as a texturizer with multiple timbres. Highlight is here the 16-step delay sequencer making new delay sounds possible.

Then, you have a rich-sounding reverb (space) with many creative features like different algorithms, reverb tails, filters, stereo image, and more. All this is controllable with a X-Y joystick that allows you morph very smoothly between reverb length and modulation behaviour. Definitely a unique design for a reverb section.

Lastly, you have a mixer that is powered again by a X-Y wet/dry joystick. Besides a very useful ducking function, it come with a unique lift oft parameters. It basically finalize your audio by adding compression, mid-side processing and EQ. There is also a generate dice aka randomiser giving endless new effects. This is not just another Space Echo emulation but a plugin that shows nicely where you can lead the Roland concept.

  1. Ooo la la la la
I did you wrong my heart went out to play
But in the game I lost you
What a price to pay, hey I’m crying
    Ooo, baby baby
    Ooo, baby baby
    Mistakes, I know I’ve made a few
    But I’m only human
You’ve made mistakes too, I’m crying
    Ooo, baby baby
    Ooo, baby baby
I’m just about at the end of my rope
But I can’t stop trying, I can’t give up hope
‘Cause I feel that one day, I’ll hold you near
    Whisper, I still love you
Until that day is here, I’m crying
    Ooo, baby baby
    Ooo, baby baby
    Ooo, baby baby
Ooo ooo ooo ooo, baby baby, ooo
