Spice up your audio tracks with the Valvola, a free multi-type vacuum tube amp simulator plugin for macOS and Windows by HoRNet.
Christmas is around the corner and it’s also the time of the free plugin giveaways. After Arturia with Tape MELLO-FI, the Italian indie developer HoRNET also has a free plug-in for the holidays.
Valvola is a new multi-type vacuum tube amp simulator you should not miss.
HoRNet is an indie plugin developer from Italy who offers its releases at amazingly low prices. And he also celebrates Christmas holidays with a free plugin. Valvola (the Italian word for vacuum tube) is an vaccum tube amp plugin that emulates the electric behaviour of a vaccum tube and its surrounding circuit.
The typical tube distortion that Valvola provides is not static but changes with your music since tubes has some kind of “memory effect” that actually change their bias point if they processed high levels (this is the case with heavy bass drums, bass synths or guitars) in practice they distort more with low frequency peaks.
Also vacuum tubes are not linear in frequency response and each one has its own characteristic sound that we carefully modeled using the original tube parameters.
Valvola ships with many different vacuum tube emulations, including triodes and pentodes, from the classic 12AX7 used in pre amplifiers to the EL84 power tube, and more. The user interface is super simple. HoRNet summarized all internal interaction in one single saturation knob that keeps the level constant. Thus, you don’t need to add gain. And the signal stays at an minimum aliasing thanks to the intelligent oversampling up to 4x.
Further, it comes with fully resizable vector-based user interface and the option to save presets.
Don’t miss the HoRNet Christmas sale with discounts up to 60% OFF on plugins and bundles making the plugins even more affordable than they already are.
HoRNet Valvola is available now as a free download. It runs as a 64-bit only VST, VST3, AU and AAX plugin on macOS and Windows. To benefit from this deal, you need to share the plugin page on Facebook or Twitter.
