Superbooth 21: Interview with Urs Heckmann, founder of U-he

SYNTH ANATOMY uses affiliation & partner programs (big red buttons) to finance a part of the activity. If you use these, you support the website. Thanks!

At Superbooth 21, I met Urs Heckmann, founder and chief developer of U-he for a long interview about hard-/software developments, Apple M1, and more.

The Superbooth is a true synth festival. At no other event will so many new synthesizers be presented as here. But it is also the event where you can chat to the developers.

I interviewed Urs Heckmann, the founder and chief developer of the Berlin-based company U-he. We talked about the new Apple M1 computers, new hardware developments, a Minimoog emulation project, future plugins, and more.

  1. This man is the best thing that has happened in the world of music software. I write it from the null contempt towards the competition of which I am also a client. But Repro-5 is a true resurrection of the Prophet 5 and Bazille, Diva or even his Hive 2 are masterpieces. Zebrea 2 and the Zimmer version have been essential in the history of film music for years. I like that these geniuses value their genius for 2 minutes a month. They make your creations more attractive. My tens to U-He.
