Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V is an authentic emulation of the legendary PPG Wave Synthesizer, initially developed by Wolfgang Palm in the 80s. It features up to 256 voices per instance, 8 part multitimbrality, and 8 stereo outputs. The plugin ships with all the original wavetables but also with more than 100 new wavetables created by Wolfgang Palm. Yes, the original developer was also on board for this plugin. So full authenticity guaranteed.
It offers the same wavetable engine as the iconic vintage synth for your DAW. Therefore, it has authentic aliasing emulations of the PPG Wave 2.2/2.3/2.V or without. Two wavetable oscillators, recreations of the analog lowpass filters of the PPG Wave 2.2/2.3 with 12dB/24dB onboard that gives you additional character for your sounds. Plus, it has an overdrive behind the filter for additional spice.
Further 1 LFO, 3 envelopes, authentic emulation of the modulation graininess, or also the true PPG mode to name a few other features. On top, it has a built-in arpeggiator as well as a good set of effects (12-stage phaser, 6-stage chorus, flanger, stereo delay, reverb…).
