Novation is giving away the excellent Minimoog emulation Minimonsta from GForce Software to all Sound Collective Members until August.
A few years ago, Novation started the Sound Collective, a platform where customers receive monthly plugins, sounds, etc. for free. The condition you have to meet is simple: you have to be in possession of a Novation product that you have registered. Then you get access to the Sound Collective. There is also an SC for Focusrite customers but these are different gifts.
The previous gifts have all been great. For example, users got in the past plugins from Audio Damage, D16 Group, and others. The Sound Collective gift for this summer tops it all. They are giving away GForce Software’s rich-sounding Minimoog emulation Minimonsta for free. A plugin that previously cost more than € 100, now for Novation customers free. It a lovely deal in my opinion.
Gforce Software Minimonsta
Minimonsta is an authentic emulation of the legendary Moog Minimoog. Like the original, it features three oscillators, the famous 4-pole, 24dB/octave filter, two envelopes, LFO, and more. The plugin is not only called Mini but also Monsta. This is where the new features come into play that Dave Spiers and his team have implemented.
It also comes with an additional multi-wave LFO and X-ADSR envelope with which you can modulation almost every parameter. The plugin can be played in monophonic like the original but also in polyphonic that makes it far more versatile.
Another cool feature is the ability to real-time morph between up to twelve patches via the keyboard control. So you can quickly find new sounds between preset. It also works as a ladder filter effect plugin that is pretty nice. Lastly, you get an onboard delay effect to refine your sounds.
Minimonsta ships with over 6000 factory patches including many from keyboard virtuoso Rick Wakeman. I think you have a lot of fun with it.
Minimonsta is free to download for Novation Sound Collective members from 3rd June 2021 to 5th August 2021.
