It’s no longer a leak but synth reality. Arturia has today released the MatrixBrute Nois, the best-known analog Matrix Synthesizer in black clothes.

There is currently no sign of a major Synthesizer release. This is probably also due to the current chip and supply chain situation, which makes it more difficult for manufacturers to manufacture synthesizers. We’ll see if Sequential can make its new synth available for July / August.

Instead of developing a new Synthesizer, Arturia has given his well-known paraphonic MatrixBrute a new look.

The design is new on the outside, the analog engine remains the same. MatrixBrute Noir packs three raw Brute oscillators running through an all-analog signal path featuring two analog filters (Steiner Parker & Lader Filter), analog effects, and more. The name of the synth comes from its powerful matrix in the middle with which you can precisely control the modulators (2x LFOs, 1x VCO/LFO, 2 ADSR envelopes, 1 DADSR…).

The latter can also act as an arpeggiator, 64-step sequencer, and preset manager. A big highlight is the MatrixBrute backside where you can find a huge number of connection options including 12x CV inputs, 12 CV outputs, 1x gate in/out, and 1 sync in/out. This turns the MB into a large control center for modular signals.

The MatrixBrute in black, yes you can get used to this sight. The black dress goes very well with this flagship synthesizer in my opinion. It makes him look even more solid.

According to the leak, the device will be limited to 500 units. New colors etc. often mean for companies that they put the products in focus one last time and then slowly let them run out. The MatrixBrute has been on the market since 2016. With the PolyBrute, the polyphonic version is now available for € 600 more. Let’s see if Arturia keeps the MatrixBrute in the program.

Arturia MatrixBrute Noir will be available soon for $1999 USD. Official information will follow soon.
