UVI expands its catalog of Falcon expansions with Kinetics, a new sound library with 120 new modular synthesis inspired evolving patches

Falcon from the French software company UVI is one of the most feature-rich Synthesizer plugins on the market. Comparable in many areas with Omnisphere 2 from Spectrasonics. However, in the factory sound library, Eric Persing’s company has the edge.

In order to offer customers enough new sounds to check out, UVI is constantly working on so-called Falcon expansions with its internal sound designer team. The newest one is called Kinetics and gives you 120 new, inspiring sounds.

Kinects features 120 new complex and evolving patches that explore these themes of movement, light, and shadow. The patches fit in the categories of ambient, motion, and rhythm, giving you everything from subtle and spacious modulated environments to complex rhythmic sound beds, and chaotic glitch-inspired madness. The sounds consist of a mixture of synthesis and 171 samples in total.

According to UVI, each of the instruments in Kinetics is designed to be expressive and playable, providing helpful controls and macros allowing you to sculpt your sound and create dynamic, expressive performances. Important, the library is not just a “rompler” style soundbank but it’s fully customizable. The user has the ability to go beyond the patch structure, to manipulate and reshape it in any way you want. Further, you can quickly preview, edit, layer, or perform the sounds with nearly limitless variation thanks to Falcon’s semi-modular architecture.

The preset showcase just below gives you a good first look at the included sounds.

All in all, a solid new sound expansion for Falcon Synthesizer.

UVI Kinetics is available now for $39 USD/39€ and runs exclusively in Falcon Synthesizer. Not compatible with the free UVI Workstation.
