Reaktor 6.4 Makes Patchable User Blocks Possible, New Jam Sequencer & More

The latest Native Instruments Reaktor 6.4 update opens up the virtual modular ecosystem to the NI Community, with User Blocks now patchable in Racks.

VCV Rack, Voltage Modular but also Reaktor 6. There are many Eurorack inspired software modular synthesizers on the market. In Reaktor 6 there was previously no possibility to patch modules on the front. In Reaktor 6.3, Native Instruments introduced front panel patching for the first modules. Now the biggest jump is coming.

Reaktor 6.4 update opens up the virtual modular ecosystem to the NI Community, with User Blocks now patchable in Racks. It is a big and exciting step because all the exciting and unique modules/blocks from the user library can now benefit from the front panel patching.

Native Instruments writes about the Reaktor 6.4:

  • Blocks from the User Library can now be configured for use in Racks mode, allowing front panel Patch’n’Play functionality and easy saving of your patches.
  • User Blocks located in the User Block directory are accessible directly in the Library tab of the REAKTOR Browser, and can be found using the search box in a Rack.
  • Both the MASCHINE Sequencer and Niji Drums modules have also been updated to be compatible with Racks and front-panel patching.

Besides the big update for the front panel feature, it also comes with a new euclidean sequencer called “Jam Sequencer”. With this, you can create very easily polyrhythmic sequences.

Native Instruments Reaktor 6.4 update is available now as a free download for existing users from the Native Access app. Reaktor 6 is available now for 199€.
