Puremagnetik Nighthawk is a unique Synthesizer VST/AU plugin that is capable of generating complex, evolving pad sounds that are inspired by the CS-80/Xpander.

For Nighthawk, the developers of Puremagnetik were inspired by the sound of synthesizers from the 80s. Mainly because of the very characterful, evolving pad sounds found in the Yamaha CS-80 and Oberheim Xpander.

Each Nighthawk voice is fed through a supersaw matrix of 7 oscillators that can be detuned and phase-shifted against each other. The resulting synthesized sonic wall of lasers can be pulse-width morphed and modulated into fantastic tapestries of dystopian ’80s cinema. As always, the interface is very clear and easy-to-use. The developer describes it as a cyberspace dream machine and perfect virtual instrument for deep pad sounds.
