TC Electronic Plethora X5 combines all available TonePrint effects (hall of fame 2,…) into a compact, modern multi-FX pedal

Guitar pedals are like Eurorack modules, you always want more. Some are very popular and all-time favorites. These include the TonePrint pedals from TC Electronic, especially the HOF 2 (Hall Of Fame 2) which is also very popular with Synthesizer players. There is now a remedy for everyone who wants all pedals from the TonePrint range.

The new Plethora X5 stereo multi-fx pedal from TC Electronic makes this possible. The developers have merged all currently available algorithms (Hall Of Fame, Flashback Delay, Corona Chorus…) into one compact powerful pedal. Plethora X5 lets you combine up to 5 TonePrint pedals of your choice and arrange them in any order you need on each of the boards.

Ultimate TonePrint Power

Each pedal has 75 TonePrint slots available for quick recall/save your favorite settings. You can load TP from the official library or create your own. Plus, it allows you to create up to 127 virtual pedalboards directly in the pedal. All 5 effects can be operated on the interface and these are also then available for control using the touch-sensitive MASH expression technology via the footswitches.

TonePrint App

Plethora X5 relies on the TC’s TonePrint app that lets you edit and adjust the individual effects. Here you can find ready-to-use presets or design your own. The connection between the pedal and your phone/tablet is accomplished wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Integrate Your Existing Gear

The pedal offers easy integration of your existing ring via an additional FX Loop. You can also use the insert for 4-cable method setup with your amplifier, letting you choose which effects go in front of your amp’s input and which effects live in your amp’s effects loop. TC’s approach here is interesting. They don’t want your entire pedal system to be replaced only with the Plethora X5, but rather to become an additional powerful tool of your setup.
