AudioThing Frostbite 2 Plugin Out Now, Spectral Freezing Refined & More Versatile

AudioThing Frostbite 2 is a major feature update for its unique spectral freezing plugin that combines a freeze effect, ring modulator, and a feedback module.

The update to Frostbite 2 is not free, but for the demanded $9 you get a lot of new additions. Frostbite 2 features now three advanced freezing modes (spectral, reverb, convolution) with which one can transform any sound source into ambient textures, soundscapes, or just frozen reverbs. The ring modulator has been expanded with different waveforms, stereo operation mode, different filter types and more.

Also, the feedback module has been extended with new filter types, ping pong mode and more. The LFO features now different waveforms including a mini-mod matrix with which you can modulate most of the parameters on each module.

The signal flow is still flexible like in Frostbite 1, so you can arrange the modules with a simple drag-and-drop, and selects between the two modes serial and parallel.  Frostbite 1 was already convincing in the test and the new update looks promising.

The plugin can also be used for extreme sonic experiments by entirely mangling any source with extreme modulations.
