Interesting news coming from Cambridge, home of the software company iZotope. They have today announced the acquirement of the assets of Exponential Audio, a company best-known for excellent reverb plugins. Michael Carnes, founder of Exponential Audio previously worked on several Lexicon hardware products became an iZotope employee, and will now work closely with the team on future new products.

Existing plugins will continue to be maintained and regularly updated. It will be exciting what both innovative companies bring to the market in the future. I assume a reverb plugin that will cause as much turmoil as Izotope’s mastering and mixing products in the past. Very curious about the future!
