Reason Compact for iOS combines the power of Reason’s flagship Europa Synthesizer and an easy-to-use interface with creative functions!
When Propellerhead Software launched the Europa Synthesizer as a plugin (VST/AU), one of my requests was for an iOS version. My wish was felt but only partially. Reason Compact is not a 100% port of the synth to the iOS platform but a mobile optimised version. Per example, it’s loaded with creative tools like a smart keyboard, note grid or chord tools that helps you making music very easily.
Reason Compact is based on the same synthesis technology which is built in Europa Synthesizer. Built around a new and more hands-on concept, it features 16 different types of waveforms, shaping function, unison effects and effects like distortion, delay & reverb effects. Audiobus, Inter-App Audio and Ableton Link gives you everything you need to incorporate it in your mobile setup. So seen, Reason Compact is Europa Synthesizer for iOS but in a far smaller and easier version. Unfortunately, it’s not a AUv3 application.
