The new sound expansion Vintage Keys for the Elektron Analog Four MKII Synthesizer lets you discover the area of cyber-funk and space-opera soundtracks!

Elektron has released today Vintage Keys, a new sound pack for the Analog Four hardware Synthesizer. It features 128 new designed patches that are inspired mainly by cyber-funk and obscure space-opera soundtracks. Vintage Keys is compatible with the Analog Four MKI, MKII as well as the Keys version.

Overview

Remember when you were nine, and laying on the couch, desperately trying not to fall asleep so you could catch the end of that weird sci-fi flick your parents let you stay up to watch, but failing miserably. Slowly fading into a surreal hypnagogic hallucination, colors blurring together, disjointed lines of dialog bouncing around your head, sounds getting more and more distant.

The skilled hands of Romanian brothers Dual Shaman expertly recaptures that feeling in these 128 patches for Analog Four (and Keys of course). Vintage Keys draws inspiration from the cyberfunk of Adrian Enescu, schmaltzy balladeer Florin Bogardo, obscure space-opera soundtracks and filters it through a foggy Badalamentiesque sense of being lost in Dreamtime.

The sound pack is available now for download for 10€.  A free demo with some sounds is available on the website!
