At the beginning of the month the entire product list for KOMPLETE 12 & 12 Ultimate was leaked on the official Native Instruments forum, which shows that a Massive X Synthesizer, Kontakt 6 sampler & more is coming!
Two years ago, Native Instruments presented Komplete 11, which included several new products. Fans of the series were a bit disappointed as they learned that there was no major update for older product. Now it seems that Native Instruments has listened to his fans. As the current leaks say, there are two major updates for two popular products. On the official NI forum, a user leaked the entire list of new products that will be available in K12.
This information comes from an XML file from the latest Native Access update, the software that is responsible for the registration and update process of all NI product. So it’s very possible that the new products are already in the beta phase.
Massive X Synthesizer Is Coming
The users have been waiting for a long time and in Komplete 12 it finally seems to be coming. If you believe the leak, then Massive X, a further development of the well-known Massive Synthesizer is coming. There is no information which features it has, but I am sure it will be in the same class as Serum Synthesizer or even better. I would love to see: a better graphical interface, advanced wavetable support (drawing & import own wavetables), complex wave-shaping options, more effects & etc.
Kontakt 6 Is On The Horizon
Also the friends of Kontakt sample libraries can be happy. As you can read from the leak, Kontakt 6 will come to the fore in Komplete 12. Again, there are no further information about the features but I love to see: easier interface, granular synthesis for the sample content, better way to create own instrument libraries, new sample manipulation options, new effects & more.
New Effect Plugins For Ultimate Users
With the effect series: Mod Pack plugins, Native Instruments has released interesting small but powerful effect processors. If we can trust the leak, they will release three additional effects in this new range of products: Freak, Bite and Dirt. There are no information about it but I think Bite will be an overdrive and dirt a distortion effect processor. In Komplete 12 (standard), you will find the three plugins (Choral, Flair and Phasis) but not the new ones.
Another Step In The Merger Of Komplete & Machine
Interesting to see is that Native Instruments also has a lot of Maschine expansions in the coming Komplete version. So the standard version will feature 9 expansions (Maschine sounds, synth presets…), the Ultimate even 20 expansions. In my opinion, a clever way to merge more and more the Komplete with the Maschine beat production world together.
