Just before end of year 2017, Dieter Doepfer announced several new modules and a comeback of a best known module.

A-111-5 Mini Synthesizer Voice Is Back For Limited Time

The A-111-5 Mini Synthesizer Voice module for the Eurorack system is back in a black edition, limited to 100 units only. This complete voice features one VCO, a 24dB-Lowpass filter, a envelope generator (ADSR), two LFO’s as well as a VCA. One of the cool features and what makes this modules very powerful is the fact that you can work with linear FM. This product is also perfect for starting with Eurorack Synthesizers because you get everything you need to make sounds in one single module.

A-111-5 Mini Synthesizer Voice Black Edition will be available in December for a price of 350€.

A-111-4 Quad Precision VCO Made For Polyphonic Patches

Beside the big return of the A-111-5 Mini Synthesizer Voice, Dieter Doepfer also expanded his product range also with a new module that is made for polyphonic patches. The new A-111-4, based on the CEM3340, contains four precision VCO’s and has individual controls, inputs and outputs for each VCO available as well as common control and output unit. After all the A-111-4 is very similar to four A-111-3 without LFO mode but built in output mixers for the three waveforms, and a master unit for all four VCO’s. Each VCO comes also with a octave switch, tune knob, modulation input, sync input and three dedicated outputs.
The A-111-4 Quad Precision VCO features also a good amount of useful modulations. You can work here with exponential frequency modulation (XM), linear frequency modulation (LM) or pulse width modulation of the rectangle (PWM). ) It’s great for fat sounding monophonic, paraphonic or polyphonic patches.

The new A-111-4 Quad Precision VCO is now available for a price of 400€.

A-138s – Mini Stereo Mixer For Audio & CV Signals

The A-138s is the third new release and is a mini stereo mixer with four inputs and two outputs which are DC-coupled. This is a clever move because this allows you to use it for audio and CV signals.

The new A-138s – Mini Stereo Mixer is now available for 75€.

A-150-8 Octal Manual/Voltage Controlled Programmable Switches

Next we have the A-150-8, a eight manually/voltage controlled switch. Each of the eight switches has a manual control button, a control voltage input, a common out/input , and two In/Outputs. The switches are bi-direction so they can work in both direction, so you can connect one input to either of two outputs, or either of two inputs to one output. Two LED’s show which in/output is active. In addition the LEDs are used for the programming of the module.

The new A-150-8 Octal VC Switch is now available for 150€.

A-173-1/2 – Micro Keyboard / Manual Gate Modules

The new Doepfer A-173-1/2 is based on two modules and combines a mini playable keyboard as well as a receiver module. It’s a clever module combo that is used to generate a manually controlled 1V/Octave CV signal and up to 15 manually controlled gate/trigger signals. Typical applications are the transposition of a sequence by means of the CV output (without the need of an external keyboard and CV interface) and the manual generation of gate signals for start, stop, envelope generator triggering and other trigger tasks.

The A-173-1/2 Micro Keyboard / Manual Gate module is now available for 180€.

A-180-9 Multicore – Combine Two A-100 Systems Together

A-180-9 is another simple but useful tool. It can be used to connect up to 14 signals between different cases by means of standard network cables (RJ45). These cables are available all over world smoothly in different lenghts and colors. From the factory two black network cables with 0.5 m length are enclosed. The upper network connector is wired to the eight sockets 1-8, the lower to the six sockets A-F. That way it’s possible to pre-patch different cases and connect signals, that are required in all cases (e.g. clock, start/stop, master CV) by means of one or two cables only instead of 14 individual patch cables. When only eight signals are required only the upper network connector is required and the sockets 1-8 are used. When more than eight signals have to be patched both network connectors have to be used.

It’s also possible to wire the upper and lower network to different cases (i.e. signals 1-8 to external case #1 and signals A-F to external case#2). The module is fully passive (no power supply required) and simply wires the 14 sockets to 14 pins of the network connectors.

A-180-9 Multicore is now available for 120€.
