Falcon is one of these virtual instrument which I personally recommend to everyone who search a massive all-in-one Synthesizer plugin for PC and Mac. The big advantage of Falcon compared to other synth plugins is the versatility. It feature not only one type of oscillators but several that gives you a massive amount to try out. From classic virtual analog, multi-sample support, advanced granular engine, frequency modulation (DX7 style), to wavetables. Than you get a massive amount of great modelled filters, a big collection of great and experimental oriented effects, a wide range of modulation options (LFO’s, envelopes, step sequencers, …) and a very deep scripting engine that allows you to design your own interfaces.
Falcon rides into the list of outstanding samplers and Synthesizer plugins like Kontakt 5, HALion 6 or Spectrasonics Omnisphere. If for you HALion 6, Kontakt 5 or also Omnisphere 2 are to expensive, than I recommend absolutely Falcon from UVI because you get here very much offered for little money. The sound design possibilities here are infinite, which is a dream for sound designers. What is also very good at Falcon are the regular updates with new features and improvements. Like today. The french company released today Falcon 1.4 with a 100 new patches with a dark and minimalist character, new and improved modules (Polyphonic step sequencer, Chorder 2 & more) and on top they updated the envelope modulation with MIDI. In overall again a great free update for this amazing all-in-one Synthesizer.
