The first review of the Behringer D Synthesizer is available. Daniel Fisher from Sweetwater had the opportunity to be the first reviewer of the Behringer D Synth. If you see it exactly, this is the first great sound demo of the Behringer D because in the previous video by the Beta Tester Jareth, we could hear the D in comparison with the Moog Model D but not alone.

After viewing this video, I must say again that the D sounds great for the asking price of 299$. The sound quality is higher than expected and it has the fat character of the Moog Model D. Even if it is a clone of a Moog Model D, the musicians can look forward to this device. It offers plenty of sound possibilities in a compact housing for a very fair price.

Daniel Fisher showed also in the video how easier, you can remove the D from the case. This allows musicians to use the D inside a Eurorack case. If you make this, do you have a nice Eurorack case than? If yes, it’s interesting to know how much power this power supply can provide.

What do you think about this new sound demo? Hot or Flop?

  1. Does it come with a cable for connecting to a Eurorack case?
What is the HP width? Is it the same width as the DeepMind Desktop so that they can be placed together with a Moog Mother-type two tier rack?
Will the ARP 2600 clone be in the same case?
It would be cool to rack all three together.

  2. Its Hot!!! Great Job Daniel. At this price point, people should be lining up like its Black Friday. Sounds awesome. Hope you guys stock up on inventory. Cheers to Sweetwater and Behringer!!!

    • I think because they don’t want to destroy their Minimoog reputation. You can see it like: high-quality furniture with a special design (Moog) and affordable furniture like IKEA (Behringer) 😉

    • Because they don’t want to destroy the myth that Moog has some magic sauce nobody could ever recreate, when in fact it’s just low frequency osc and filter electronics that can be cheaply recreated today. People want to feel special for buying and posessing an”authentic original”.
I hope Behringer does an OB-X or OB-8 next!
