Add A Chorus Effect To Your Budget Analog Synth For Under 35$

SYNTH ANATOMY uses affiliation & partner programs (big red buttons) to finance a part of the activity. If you use these, you support the website. Thanks!

Analog Synthesizers can sound great but many of the budget Synthesizers (Microbrute, Monologue…) don’t include some decent sounding effects. They come mostly with a complete analog voice, a full featured sequencer and also with a good amount of external connection. Analog or digital effects can’t be found in many budget synths. The only one for a price around 500$ I found and tested which included some decent effects is the new Pioneer DJ AS-1 Analog Synthesizer.
For adding some decent effects to your sounds, you have two choices. The first one is using effect plugins in your DAW which are available for any budget. Effects plugins from ValhallaDSP or UVI sounds great and doesn’t cost a lot. But this solution is perfect in your music studio but isn’t great in a portable setup. The second way to add some decent sounding effects to your mono synth per example are guitar pedals. You can find pedal for every budget from very low price to very high price like Strymon pedals.

For my latest video release, I continued my cheap effect pedal series with the Donner Tutti Love which is full analog chorus pedal for a very low price. It includes only three different knobs and is very easy to use. If you want to know how the sound of this cheap pedal is connected to a Microbrute from Arturia, check out the video just below. A full review of the Donner Tutti Love will come very soon to my channel.
