I found today an interesting two part collection of videos about the sound design and soundtrack of the new video game “DOOM”. It’s interesting to see that composer use hardware Synthesizers and software products in combinations. In this composition, the composer use Eurorack modules and other hardware Synthesizers. It’s interesting to see and hear how heavy this sound structure sound.

What I can see and what I think is the power of this heavy sounds comes from Metasonix modules which produces a very hardcore distorted sound. Check out this video collection, it’s very interesting to see how they work for such soundtracks.

Part 1 is more guitar oriented production but also a combination of both worlds.

Part 2 is more Synthesizer based production
