Matrixbrute 2.0, Arturia’s largest hardware Synthesizer so far, has received a massive free 2.0 update with a revamped sequencer, more modulation power & more.

No, Matrixbrute 2.0 is not a new Synthesizer, but this is a big firmware update that makes the Synthesizer more exciting. Especially current users will be happy.

Version 2.0 integrates many user-request features, enhances existing functions and fix bugs.

New In Version 2.0

First, it includes major new features for the sequencer. It’s a simple but powerful overhaul of the sequencer that lets you easily duplicate and delate section, rotate the sequence, visualize notes in the step and more. The developers also fixed real-time recording with legato so that it won’t trigger envelopes.

4 Times More Modulation Power

The original MatrixBrute firmware featured only 4 modulation options. The new update infuses into the synth 4 times more modulation power. It offers now 4 pages of 4 modulations so it’s quadrupling its creative scope.

Another addon on the modulation side is a new custom LFO creation feature. Draw your own waveshapes on the matrix, quantize the steps or smooth them out, to truly customize your sound. You can also sync the LFO with triplets or dotted time divisions. A very creative feature in my opinion that raise the bar of sound design a lot in the Matrixbrute.

Preset Compare Mode

The MatrixBrute 2.0 firmware also introduces a new preset function called preset compare mode. With this function, you will never accidentally written over a great preset. Make sure your sound is better than the one you’re saving over with the preset compare feature.

Preview a slot before you save, and don’t lose patches you love. The “changing presets doesn’t reset the sync” bug is also fixed by the developers.

System Mode

Another new feature is the system mode that allows you to make system changes without having to connect to a computer. This unlocks all parameters that normally could only be accessed through the MCC software.

Plus, they fixed little other bugs. These new abilities and improved functionality gives MatrixBrute users exciting new creative scope, letting them go deeper into the instrument than ever before, and create sounds that are truly one of a kind. 64 additional new sounds show off the new capabilities and features of the update.

Matrixbrute 2.0 update is available now as a free download from the official Arturia website.
