Will CRATE Be The Next Behringer Synthesizer? ;) ;)

Behringer has teased a new Synthesizer with the name CRATE or someone has confused the T with the V in the official german manual 😉 😉

It’s no news anymore: the Behringer Crave is finally available (in Germany) and the first pre-orderers have already received the orange synth. My pre-ordered unit for reviewing is still on the way. Silvio from the German Facebook group “Synthesizer Stammtisch”, however” has noticed something funny when unboxing his Crave and reading the german manual.

In the official mini manual Behringer mentions the CRATE Synthesizer. What is the CRATE, please? Is it a new Synthesizer and secretly the brother of CRAVE or is it just a typing error. I think the second is more the case. Synthesizer friends from over the world probably put too much stress on the Behringer team that it came to this mistake. If that’s all that’s wrong with it,  we can be calm.

  1. I don’t need it but I want it! Behringer will probably sell tons of these. Plus it does have a nice look to it… there’s a lot there for its size! Extra points for making it orange. It seems like most synths are grey or black.

      • Yes, i got that! 😀 I was talking about Crate. It is quite the feat for Behringer to produce such a small, affordable semi-modular analog synth. I didn’t give it much thought before but this is genius! Especially with a good oscillator and filter. It’s too bad it’s not a eurorack module but you can’t have everything.
