Pedal Crush By Kim Bjørn Is A Book That Explores The World Of Pedals & Now On Kickstarter

Kim Bjørn is back with a new book. After he mainly treated Synthesizers in his first two books (PUSH TURN MOVE, PATCH & TWEAK), he also takes now guitarists on his written journey. In Pedal Crush, he explores pedals as a tool for everyone. So he does not limit the book only to guitarists but also takes Synthesizer players and other pedal-use musicians into the boat.

As with Patch & Tweak, he also has prominent support this time. The pedal specialist and YouTuber Knobs and many others will help with the realization of the book. The design is similar to the previous books: it features information about many different popular/rare pedals, sound design practices from the hand of musicians, interviews and more.

PEDAL CRUSH explores pedals as a tool for everyone: showing how all musicians – producers, DJs, instrumentalists, and vocalists – can artistically benefit from using stompboxes in new ways.

Pedal Crush

The book contains everything from starting out with a pedal board or software to concepts, purpose, history and creative possibilities of specific effects and pedal types. Presentations of both popular and rare pedals, contemporary, boutique, and vintage, as well as lots of illustrated tips and tricks. PEDAL CRUSH takes the reader on a unique journey of discovery, resulting in clarity and expanded knowledge of effects pedals and their creative, musical possibilities.

I’m excited to announce that besides other effects pedal experts, Knobs is co-writing PEDAL CRUSH with me.

The book is available now for pre-order for $49 USD/42€ (early-bird) on Kickstarter and it has already reached 200% and more of the initial goal.
