Igor Vasiliev screwed on his apps again. This time there is a big update for FieldScaper which goes now in the second round. FieldScaper is a field recorder app for iOS with an exciting concept. It can not only used as simple mobile field recorder but also as real-time sound design tool. Users can manipulate the recordings with various powerful features. The second version of Fieldscaper includes new functionalities that brings rhythmical elements and distorted elements to your sounds.

It features a new step sequencer that is available for each oscillator, a parametric EQ for each osc, a signal amplification before filters and EQ and more.Beside this, he added Ableton Link support and updated the Audiobus SDK. On top, it comes with new presets that gives you an idea how to work with FieldScaper. An excellent update in my opinion for this unique experimental sound design app!

Overview

Advanced field recorder combined with a sound warp engine and a collection of ready to use dynamic presets for iPad and iPhone. Discover new ways to create and construct unusual and exciting sounds from any environmental audio recordings or samples recorded from other apps through Inter-App audio or Audiobus. The main advantage is that you can record and modify samples along the way within the single app. You can record sounds and noises, delete unwanted parts and then use presets to give a whole new sounding or create spectacular soundscapes and textures to use them as loops in this app. And even use FieldScaper as effect in real time with other apps or external input.

New In FieldScaper 2.0

With this update you can add rhythmic effects and distortions with using built-in step sequencer.
