This year’s Musikmesse has not started yet but there is already a news from Line 6. They announced the official release of Echo Farm 3.0, a further development of their plugin with 64-bit support for any DAW on Mac OSX and Windows supporting VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats.

What Line 6 Has To Say About Echo Farm 3.0

Originally introduced in 2001 as a Pro Tools TDM plug-in, Echo Farm was used on countless hit records produced in studios throughout the world. Echo Farm 3.0 not only brings those classic effects to modern Pro Tools users, the 64-bit native AAX plug-in also provides backward compatibility with previously created sessions—and now AU and VST support enable Echo Farm to be used within any popular DAW for the first time ever.

Echo Farm 3.0 features models based on vintage hardware units such as the Roland RE-101 Space Echo, Boss DM-2, Electro-Harmonix Memory Man, TC Electronic 2290, and Maestro Echoplexes, plus Line 6 originals.

Echo Farm 3.0 is fully programmable and automatable, providing total control over the sound and responsiveness of every model—including tape wow n’ flutter, swept-filter modulation speed, bit resolution, and more. Lock to the global tempo of your session, following any tempo variations, or quickly set the delay time manually via a virtual knob, tap tempo, or by selecting BPM and note value. The unique Time Ramp feature also lets you create realistic pitch-smear effects when adjusting delay times on tape- and analog-type delays.

Line 6 Echo Farm 3.0 is now available PC and Mac for $199.99 USD. TDM users can upgrade to the new version for $49 USD.
