The Berlin based company Puremagnetik is good known for affordable sample libraries. The latest release of the company is not a sample library but a new Synthesizer plugin based on the karplus-strong synthesis. Pléctrik is a versatile string resonator Synthesizer that allows musicians to create versatile plucked and bowed sounds. The engine can produce timbres ranging from harpsichord like sounds, bowed, mallet percussions and much more.

Overview

Pléctrik’s internal workings employ Karplus-Strong algorithms fed into a soft overdrive. An optional ring modulator provides augmented and chaotic tone design. The final stage of the signal passes through a Moog-style low pass filter and a fixed delay “doubling” module.

Whether you are scoring a film, creating EDM or writing experimental music, Pléctrik has been designed with unique synthesis capabilities for versatile studio use.

Features
  • Karplus-Strong Synthesis Core.
  • Resonator “Body” Selection.
  • Wood and Metal Physical Modeling.
  • Soft Overdrive / Distortion.
  • Built-in Mod Delay.
  • Built-in Ring Modulator.

Pléctrik is now available for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) for $8 USD instead of $20 USD and is available to Spark and Century customers.
