One minor workflow problem in iOS 10 is the not so handy usage of sequencers with AUv3 plugins. Often you use then a sequencer app like Modstep where you can load in AUv3 or you route the MIDI out of a sequencer to the instrument. With the new iOS 11, users can now sent MIDI out of iOS applications with AUv3 support. This is unfortunately an iOS 11 only feature but it opens a new market of MIDI AUv3 apps.

Bram Bos, developer of several great Synthesizer and drum machine apps, is currently working on a first AUv3 sequencer with the name Odessa. He released some preview videos where you can see the new app in action.

Here a video where he use Odessa with the Audio Damage Axon 2 drum Synthesizer.

Here is another preview video of Odessa

There is no information available when the developer will release the new Odessa Sequencer Suite. So stay tuned for more informations in future.
