U-he Introduced Atmos for Diva by Djulin & Tarot A Free Sound Library For Hive By Alexander Hacke

U-he plugins are fantastic virtual instruments and comes with excellent onboard presets. It’s rare that a company ships this amount of presets with a software product. To get even more ready to use sounds, the U-he crew collaborated with two sound designers and released two new sound sets. Atmos is a new library made in collaboration with the sound designer Bjulin and as the name suggest contain new atmospheric sounds for the excellent DIVA Synthesizer.

For the second release, U-he teamed up with Alexander Hacke from the german industrial band Einstürzende Heubauten and released a free sound set for the Hive Synthesizer.

Atmos for DIVA Synthesizer

Atmos inhabits the space between the real and the fantastical. Bjulin’s work evokes the dimension, emotion and atmosphere of various scenes—like floating high above the clouds or standing at the edge of a mysterious forest.

All 128 presets in this collection of arpeggios, leads, pads and ambient effects are permeated with a sense of space. Bjulin created the pure sounds to be sophisticated from the start, but applying Diva’s built-in effects thoughtfully, he manages to highlight each unique atmosphere and ambience.

Atmos is especially well suited for ambient, chillout and downtempo music, but can fit easily into almost any of your music projects.

Tarot for Hive Synthesizer

The Tarot soundset for Hive is a project in collaboration with Alexander Hacke of Einstürzende Neubauten. The pack draws its inspiration from the eponymous set of cards

The cabalistic collection was created by musician and composer Alexander Hacke, best know for his work with the influential German industrial band Einstürzende Neubauten.

In the spirit of the tarot deck, the soundset takes a holistic, interconnected approach to sound design. Sounds echo and build upon each other, building musical themes and motifs for each suit.

While the categories might be unusual, you will still find plenty of inspiring sounds. Bassy growls, sweeping pads, rich textures, intense leads and loping sequences, all ready to use. Each sound is shaped by Alexander Hacke’s unique style and aesthetics, and they showcase Hive’s sonic range.
